Eye Screening for Child
Vision problems affect 1 in every 20 pre-schoolers and 1 in 4 school going children. Since many vision problems begin at an early age, it’s important that children receive proper eye care.
Poor eyesight can affect their learning ability, athletic performance and self-esteem. Untreated eye conditions can worsen and lead to more serious problems. For all of these reasons, the best way to protect the child’s vision is by having regular eye examination.
Whether they have a problem or not, children should have a comprehensive eye examination done by an eye doctor at the age of six months, 3 years and before the first grade and thereafter every two years or as recommended. The doctor will determine if the child needs vision correction and check for common eye disorders.
